v2: - Use -mpower8-vector in compiler test for altivec
- rename altivec option to power8
- reword power8 option description to be more clear, originally I
had made it a boolean, but replaced it with an auto option.

Build & install
---------------

Meson (`docs/meson.html <https://mesa3d.org/meson.html>`_):

necessary.
Remember that not everyone is in the same timezone as you, so it might
take a while before someone qualified sees your question.
