Tapani Pälli 799b3d16d4 egl: implement EXT_surface_SMPTE2086_metadata and EXT_surface_CTA861_3_metadata
Patch implements common bits for EXT_surface_SMPTE2086_metadata
and EXT_surface_CTA861_3_metadata extensions by adding new required
attributes and eglQuerySurface + eglSurfaceAttrib changes.

Currently none of the drivers are utilizing this data but this patch
is enabler in getting there.

v2: don't enable extension globally, should be only enabled by
    EGL drivers that can transfer metadata to the window system (Jason)
    use EGLint instead of uint16_t (Eric)

Chad Versace f48f9a78da egl: Simplify queries for EGL_RENDER_BUFFER
There exist *two* queryable EGL_RENDER_BUFFER states in EGL:
eglQuerySurface(EGL_RENDER_BUFFER) and
eglQueryContext(EGL_RENDER_BUFFER).

These changes eliminate potentially very fragile code in the upcoming
EGL_KHR_mutable_render_buffer implementation.

* eglQuerySurface(EGL_RENDER_BUFFER)

  The implementation of eglQuerySurface(EGL_RENDER_BUFFER) contained
  abstruse logic which required comprehending the specification
  complexities of how the two EGL_RENDER_BUFFER states interact.  The
  function sometimes returned _EGLContext::WindowRenderBuffer, sometimes
  _EGLSurface::RenderBuffer. Why? The function tried to encode the
  actual logic from the EGL spec. When did the function return which
  variable? Go study the EGL spec, hope you understand it, then hope
  Mesa mutated the EGL_RENDER_BUFFER state in all the correct places.
  Have fun.

  To simplify eglQuerySurface(EGL_RENDER_BUFFER), and to improve
  confidence in its correctness, flatten its indirect logic. For pixmap
  and pbuffer surfaces, simply return a hard-coded literal value, as the
  spec suggests. For window surfaces, simply return
  _EGLSurface::RequestedRenderBuffer.  Nothing difficult here.

* eglQueryContext(EGL_RENDER_BUFFER)

  The implementation of this suffered from the same issues as
  eglQuerySurface, and the solution is the same.  confidence in its
  correctness, flatten its indirect logic. For pixmap and pbuffer
  surfaces, simply return a hard-coded literal value, as the spec
  suggests. For window surfaces, simply return
  _EGLSurface::ActiveRenderBuffer.

Emil Velikov c58af5cbb2 egl: fold _eglError() + return EGL_FALSE
The function _eglError() already explicitly returns EGL_FALSE,
explicitly to simplify the callers. Make use of it.

While EGL_FALSE is numerically identical to false, NULL, EGL_NO_FOO,
storage is not the same so we cannot use it for "everything".

Harish Krupo 9827547313 egl/android: support for EGL_KHR_partial_update
This patch adds support for the EGL_KHR_partial_update extension for
android platform. It passes 36/37 tests in dEQP for EGL_KHR_partial_update.
1 test not supported.

v3: The native_window_set_surface_damage call is available only from
    Android version 6.0. Reintroduce the ANDROID_VERSION guard and

Tapani Pälli 8fac894f9b egl: fix _eglQuerySurface in EGL_BUFFER_AGE_EXT case
Specification states that in case of error, value should not be
written, patch changes buffer age queries to return -1 in case of
error so that we can skip changing the value.

In addition, small change to droid_query_buffer_age to return 0
in case buffer does not have a back buffer available.

Chad Versace 23c86c74cc egl: Emit error when EGLSurface is lost
Add a new bool, _EGLSurface::Lost, and check it in eglMakeCurrent and
eglSwapBuffers. The EGL 1.5 spec says that those functions emit errors
when the native surface is no longer valid.

This patch just updates core EGL. No driver sets _EGLSurface::Lost yet.

I discovered that Mesa failed to detect lost surfaces while debugging an
Android CTS camera test,
android.hardware.camera2.cts.RobustnessTest#testAbandonRepeatingRequestSurface.
This patch doesn't fix the test though, though, because the test expects
EGL_BAD_SURFACE when the surface becomes lost, and this patch actually
complies with the EGL spec. If I interpreted the EGL spec correctly,
EGL_BAD_NATIVE_WINDOW or EGL_BAD_CURRENT_SURFACE is the correct error.

Tapani Pälli 2035930966 egl: set preserved behavior for surface only if config supports it
Otherwise we can end up with mismatching behavior between config and
surface when client queries surface attributes. As example, configs
for DRI3 do not support preserved behavior but here we were setting
preserved behavior for pixmap and pbuffer.

Tapani Pälli 282b87dd03 egl: fix type mismatch error type in _eglInitSurface
EGL spec defines EGL_BAD_MATCH for windows, pixmaps and pbuffers in
case where user creates a surface but config does not support rendering
to such surface type.

Following quotes are from EGL 1.5 spec 3.5 "Rendering Surfaces" :

for eglCreatePlatformWindowSurface, eglCreateWindowSurface:

   "If config does not support rendering to windows (the EGL_SURFACE_TYPE
   attribute does not contain EGL_WINDOW_BIT ), an EGL_BAD_MATCH error is
   generated."

for eglCreatePbufferSurface:

   "If config does not support pbuffers, an EGL_BAD_MATCH error is
   generated."

for eglCreatePlatformPixmapSurface, eglCreatePixmapSurface:

   "If config does not support rendering to pixmaps (the EGL_SURFACE_TYPE
   attribute does not contain EGL_PIXMAP_BIT ), an EGL_BAD_MATCH error is
   generated."

Fixes following dEQP test:

   dEQP-EGL.functional.negative_api.create_pbuffer_surface

Guillaume Charifi 9fea9d6f8e egl: Fix the bad surface attributes combination checking for pbuffers. (v3)
Fixes a regression induced by commit a0674ce5c41903ccd161e89abb149621bfbc40d2:
When EGL_TEXTURE_FORMAT and EGL_TEXTURE_TARGET were both specified (and
both != EGL_NO_TEXTURE), an error was instantly triggered, before the
other one had even a chance to be checked, which is obviously not the
intended behaviour.

eglCreatePbufferSurface should generate an EGL_BAD_MATCH error if:
1: The EGL_TEXTURE_FORMAT attribute is EGL_NO_TEXTURE and EGL_TEXTURE_TARGET
is something other than EGL_NO_TEXTURE
2: EGL_TEXTURE_FORMAT is something other than EGL_NO_TEXTURE and
EGL_TEXTURE_TARGET is EGL_NO_TEXTURE.

This fixes the dEQP-EGL.functional.negative_api.create_pbuffer_surface test.

Daniel Czarnowski d4714512e4 egl: support EGL_LARGEST_PBUFFER in eglCreatePbufferSurface(...)
Patch provides a default for a set pbuffer surface size when
EGL_LARGEST_PBUFFER is used by the client. MIN2 macro is moved
to egldefines so that it can be shared.

Fixes following Piglit test:
   egl-create-largest-pbuffer-surface

From EGL 1.5 spec:
   "Use EGL_LARGEST_PBUFFER to get the largest available pbuffer
   when the allocation of the pbuffer would otherwise fail."

Currently there exists no API to query largest available pixmap size
using xlib or xcb so right now this seems most straightforward way to
ensure that we fulfill above API and also we don't attempt to allocate
'too big' pixmap which might succeed on server side but not work in
practice when driver starts to use it as a texture.

Frank Binns b2c5986ea1 egl: Add eglQuerySurface surface type check for EGL_LARGEST_PBUFFER attrib
Calling eglQuerySurface on a window or pixmap with the EGL_LARGEST_PBUFFER
attribute resulted in the contents of the 'value' parameter being modified.
This is the wrong behaviour according to the EGL spec, which states:

    "Querying EGL_LARGEST_PBUFFER for a pbuffer surface returns the
     same attribute value specified when the surface was created with
     eglCreatePbufferSurface. For a window or pixmap surface, the
     contents of value are not modified."

Avoid this from happening by checking that the surface type is EGL_PBUFFER_BIT
before modifying the contents of the parameter.

Emil Velikov 9b42fd1772 dri_interface: Update __DRItexBufferExtensionRec to version 3
With commit e59fa4c46c8("dri2: release texture image.") we updated the
extension without bumping the version number. The patch itself added an
interface required to enable texture_from_pixmap on certain platforms.

The new code was effectively never build, as it depended on
__DRI_TEX_BUFFER_VERSION >= 3, which never came to be in upstream mesa.

This commit bumps the version number, drops the __DRI_TEX_BUFFER_VERSION
checks and resolves all the build conflicts. Additionally it add a version
check as egl and dri3, as require version 2 of the extension which does
not have the releaseTexBuffer hook.

Juha-Pekka Heikkila 498d10e230 egl: Unhide functionality in _eglInitSurface()
_eglInitResource() was used to memset entire _EGLSurface by
writing more than size of pointed target. This does work
as long as Resource is the first element in _EGLSurface,
this patch fixes such dependency.

Chad Versace eb09940e55 egl/dri2: Add plumbing for EGL_OPENGL_ES3_BIT_KHR
Fixes error EGL_BAD_ATTRIBUTE in the tests below on Intel Sandybridge:
    * piglit egl-create-context-verify-gl-flavor, testcase OpenGL ES 3.0
    * gles3conform, revision 19700, when runnning GL3Tests with -fbo

This plumbing is added in order to comply with the EGL_KHR_create_context
spec. According to the EGL_KHR_create_context spec, it is illegal to call
eglCreateContext(EGL_CONTEXT_MAJOR_VERSION_KHR=3) with a config whose
EGL_RENDERABLE_TYPE does not contain the EGL_OPENGL_ES3_BIT_KHR. The
pertinent
portion of the spec is quoted below; the key word is "respectively".

  * If <config> is not a valid EGLConfig, or does not support the
    requested client API, then an EGL_BAD_CONFIG error is generated
    (this includes requesting creation of an OpenGL ES 1.x, 2.0, or
    3.0 context when the EGL_RENDERABLE_TYPE attribute of <config>
    does not contain EGL_OPENGL_ES_BIT, EGL_OPENGL_ES2_BIT, or
    EGL_OPENGL_ES3_BIT_KHR respectively).

To create this patch, I searched for all the ES2 bit plumbing by calling
`git grep "ES2_BIT\|DRI_API_GLES2" src/egl`, and then at each location
added a case for ES3.

Kristian Høgsberg 5dc0f49084 egl: Implement EGL_NOK_texture_from_pixmap
This extension allows a color buffer to be used for both rendering and
texturing.  EGL allows the use of color buffers of pbuffer drawables
for texturing, this extension extends this to allow the use of color
buffers of pixmaps too.

Chia-I Wu d69242be55 egl: Initialize display resources with their display.
Change _eglInitSurface, _eglInitContext, and _eglInitImage to take an
_EGLDisplay instead of an _EGLDriver.  This is a more natural form, and
plus, the display encodes information such as the extensions supported
that might be required for attribute list parsing.

Chia-I Wu 996fd61442 egl: Remove code blocks that are commented out.
They are either unit tests or to demonstrate how functions are supposed
to be used.  The unit test is outdated and it should be better to take a
look at any of the working drivers to see how a function is used.

Move some fields of _EGLDriver to _EGLDisplay.  It also becomes
unnecessary to pass _EGLDisplay to drivers when _eglMain is called.

Chia-I Wu 2f2cf461c5 egl: Overhaul driver API.
The motivation is so that drivers do not need to look up and check for
bad display, context, and etc.  It also becomes unnecessary for drivers
to call the link functions.

This commit makes eglapi.[ch] do the lookup and check.  As a result, the
driver API is overhauled, and almost all sources and drivers need
update.  The updates are mainly find and replace with human brains.

Chia-I Wu 07ee01365a egl: Replace IsBound by a pointer to the binding.
IsBound tells if a context or surface is current.  What it does not tell
is, to which thread a context is current, or to which context a surface
is current.  This commit replaces IsBound by a pointer to the binding
thread or context.

Chia-I Wu 15fdbc8361 egl: Remove redundant DeletePending flag.
A context or surface that is neither linked to a display nor current to
a thread should be destroyed.  Therefore, an unlinked context or surface
implies a pending delete automatically.

Chia-I Wu 18457cb263 egl: Add funtions to link contexts and surfaces to displays.
EGL contexts and surfaces are resources of displays.  They should be
managed by displays.  This commit adds a bunch of functions to
egldisplay.c to help establish the links between contexts/surfaces and
displays.  How links are established is considered opaque outside
display.  Functions like _eglGetSurfaceHandle or _eglLookupSurface are
therefore moved to egldisplay.c, with some small modifications.

The idea is also extended to display.  That is, displays need to link to
themselves to be looked up.

This commit only adds the functions.  A commit to use them should
follow.
