Samuel Pitoiset 30846f1596 radv: remove the radv_report_apu_as_dgpu workaround for Red Dead Redemption 2
This workaround looks actually broken. We added it in the past
because otherwise the game would just report 3GiB of video memory
(ie. size of GTT on SD). Though, with this workaround enabled, the
game explodes in memory easily.

One theory is that because we fake integrated GPUs as discrete GPUS,
and because we report 6GiB of VRAM (ie. driver redistributes memory
for small carveout), the game thinks there is 6GiB of VRAM only and
then keep allocating stuff.

People reported that the memory explosion is gone without this
workaround applied and I confirmed this myself.

Samuel Pitoiset b11158cc8b radv: remove old workaround for HTILE layers with F1 2021
Turns out this was likely a vkd3d-proton issue because it can no
longer be reproduced since it switched to dynamic rendering by default.
AMDGPU-PRO was also affected by the same issue at that time.

According to Hans-Kristian, some bugs related to that have also been
fixed at the same time.

Timothy Arceri 5f686bfc85 util: add dri config option to disable GL_MAP_UNSYNCHRONIZED_BIT
GL_MAP_UNSYNCHRONIZED_BIT depends on the app having its threading
handled correctly. This allows us to force disable the bit when
they get it wrong.

Viktoriia Palianytsia e39a5f2b9f anv: Add workaround for sample mask with multisampling
The game Batman: Arkham Knight expects OpenGL behavior
with sample mask and multisampling which is different
from the Vulkan one.
This workaround fix changes key->ignore_sample_mask_out
value that is used for
prog_data->uses_omask definition in brv_fs.cpp(9740)
In that way prog_data->uses_omask also changes it value
and the cloak stops flickering.

Vadym Shovkoplias 55c71217ec driconf: Add a limit_trig_input_range option
With this option enabled range of input values for fsin and fcos is
limited to [-2*pi : 2*pi] by calculating the reminder after 2*pi modulo
division. This helps to improve calculation precision for large input
arguments on Intel.

Samuel Pitoiset 1dbfd2be4b radv: allow to disable sinking of load inputs for FS via drirc
To workaround game bugs where partial derivatives are used in
non-uniform control flow. A proper solution needs to be implemented,
but as a quick fix disabling nir_opt_sink() works.

Sviatoslav Peleshko 28ca5636f6 anv: workaround apps that assume full subgroups without specifying it
Without this we might choose 8 or 16 width, while the app assumes 32.
With subgroup operations it may cause wrong calculations and thus bugs.

Examples of such games are Aperture Desk Job and DOOM Eternal.

v2: Make it a driconf option instead of applying unconditionally, move
    from brw_required_dispatch_width to brw_compile_cs
v3: Rename allow_assuming_full_subgroups -> assume_full_subgroups.
    Include assume_full_subgroups value in anv_pipeline_hash_compute().
v4: Move actual workaround code from brw_fs.c -> anv_pipeline.c.

Qiang Yu 1dac5454ea glx: keep native window glx drawable by driconf option
DRI3 window back buffer is a client resource, so it's destroyed
when context switch drawable for native window.

But some application like Abaqus may leave a dirty back buffer
and reuse it when switch back. So add a driconf option for these
kind of app to keep the entire GLX drawable for native window.

Pierre-Eric Pelloux-Prayer fc3ef76eec glx/drirc: add a force_direct_glx_context option
Some applications may request an indirect context but this feature is
disabled by default on Xorg and thus context creation will fail.

This commit adds a drirc setting to force the creation of direct glx
context, regardless of what the app is requesting.

Gert Wollny 634e2353a0 virgl: Add driconf tweak to force-enable reading back R8_SRGB textures
In the menu of CS:GO R8_SRGB textures are uploaded and read back, and
since R8_SRGB can't be read back on GLES, because it is not a rendertarget
format and glGetTexImage and siblings don't exists, we can't default to
enabling reading back this format. This leads to an emulation of the
glGetTexImage calls issued by CS:GO, and this slows down the menus a lot
(below 1 fps on Intel XE hosts).

So add this driconf tweak and enable it for CS:GO to work around the issue.
It can be done safely, because in this case we actually can use the data
that is stored on the host in the backing IOV.

This tweak lets the CS:GO menu run at around 60 FPS when run with virgl
on a Intel XE host when it would run with less than 1 FPS without the tweak.

Pierre-Eric Pelloux-Prayer 95ded68984 glsl/drirc: add an option for gl_ClipVertex / gl_CullDistance checks
The GLSL spec says it's an error if a shader statically writes to these
2 variables.

Until this commit, Mesa refused to link a shader if it had an unused
function writing to one of these variables while another (used) function
wrote to the other.

This commit adds an option to perform dead function elimination after
the intra-stage linking step but before performing these checks.

Danylo Piliaiev 3d69800a0b driconf: add vk_dont_care_as_load workaround option
It's easy to make a mistake of using VK_ATTACHMENT_LOAD_OP_DONT_CARE
when LOAD_OP_LOAD should be used since all desktop GPUs do the same
thing (nothing) for both of them.

However tiler GPUs do actually care about them.

Vadym Shovkoplias 36c241be01 driconf, glsl: Add a vs_position_always_precise option
This is basically the same workaround as in 9b577f2a88 (driconf, glsl: Add a
vs_position_always_invariant option) commit but for tesselation evaluation
shaders. Some applications do not mark outputs as precise in tesselation
evaluation shaders which can lead to different results in case some
optimizations were applied.

Simon Ser 3c18e69078 vulkan/wsi/x11: add driconf option to not wait under Xwayland
By default, Mesa's X11 Vulkan WSI will wait for buffers to be ready
before submitting them to Xwayland when the swapchain is created
with the IMMEDIATE mode.

This is undesirable when the Wayland compositor already monitors
fences. A Wayland compositor may want to know the delay between
the buffer submition and the end of the GPU work, this is impossible
to measure if the WSI waits for the buffer to be ready before
submission.

Since most compositors don't monitor fences, let's introduce a driconf
option for this for now. We can reconsider once more compositors
have better support for fences.

Samuel Pitoiset cadf2d63b7 radv: report APUs as discrete GPUs for Red Dead Redemption 2
On APUs, we fake heaps to simulate a dGPU setup because it seems to
have the maximum compatibility. Though, some applications like RDR2
still only looks at GTT if the driver reports an iGPU which means it
will only use 1/3rd of total memory available.

This is currently behind a drirc option because it might have
implications for other apps but we might want to extend this later
if everything is fine.

Samuel Pitoiset 28e1b02a6f radv: disable DCC for DOOM 2016 and Wolfenstein II
Both games perform two image layout transitions with the same image
in the same pipeline barrier with UNDEFINED and this re-initializes
DCC to the uncompressed state. No ideal solution sadly. Note that
both games declare all images as CONCURRENT.

This fixes rendering issues on GFX10+ because DCC for stores is
supported and this implicitly enables DCC for concurrent.

Jason Ekstrand 91cbe8d855 gallium: Add a transcode_astc driconf option
This is similar to the transcode_etc flag in that it changes the ASTC
fallback (when present) to use DXT5 instead of RGBA8888.  This reduces
the memory footprint of the app at the expense of a bit of correctness.
Because it's not quite correct, it's hidden behind a driconf option.

Axel Davy 7fbd7bb7cb st/nine: Default tearfree_discard to true
With tearfree_discard=false, we tear when rendering
fullscreen apps with vsync off.

This is a feature in the sense it's the same as the native
implementation. This also means lower input lag.

However I think most users will prefer to have no tearing,
and don't care about sub refresh-rate input lag.

Thus it's better to default tearfree_discard to true.

Axel Davy 53f4766a3e st/nine: Lower texture_memory_limit default
512 MB is too ambitious as default value.
128 MB seems safer, and users can increase the limit
manually for the few games that would benefit from it.

Axel Davy b41f1e32e9 st/nine: Make it optional to use a sw renderer
Until the problem described in
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/4489
is fixed, the advantages of using a sw renderer for the
sw rendering in nine are too small compared to the
disadvantages.

Add an option to control whether we use a sw renderer,
and make it so by default we don't.

Martin Peres 580fbbb59a driconf: remove the redundant glx-extension-disabling options
Now that we introduced the generic glx_extension_override option,
we can remove the glx_disable_oml_sync_control,
glx_disable_sgi_video_sync, and glx_disable_ext_buffer_age ones.

It seems like the only user for them was the vmwgfx, and only for
Gnome and Compiz which are covered by the default mesa driconf. This
means that it is unlikely for a user to have these options set in
their local driconf file.
